Cognitive Testing Center Rules
When
you register to test at our center, you agree to comply with all the
rules set forth in the current registration bulletin and the rules
communicated to you at each test administration for which you are
registered.
Violation of test site rules, including the
possession or use of prohibited materials during a test administration,
may result in the voiding of your scores.
Center Rules
· Personal
items, such as cellular phones, hand-held computers/personal digital
assistants (PDAs) or other electronic devices, pagers, watches, wallets,
purses, hats, bags, coats, books and notes, are not allowed in the
testing room. You must store all personal items in a locker provided by
the center
· Cognitive
Testing Centers is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced
personal items. We recommend that you leave your items in the vehicle..
· Before
you enter the testing room, the test center testing administrator will
provide you with an erasable noteboard, a marker or two sheets of color
paper as authorized by your client organization. You may not remove
these items from the testing room at any time during the exam, and you
must return them to the test administrator after the exam You may not
write on the erasable noteboard until after the exam has been started.
If you need to clean your noteboard during the exam, raise your hand and
the administrator will assist you.
· The
administrator will log you in to your assigned workstation, verify that
you are taking the intended exam and start the exam. Please remain in
your assigned seat at all time.
· Eating, drinking, smoking and making noise that creates a disturbance for other candidates are prohibited during the exam.
· To
ensure a high level of security throughout your testing experience, you
will be monitored at all times by both audio and video, will be recorded.
· Some
exams include a recommended, scheduled break. To take the break, follow
the directions that appear on the computer screen at the appropriate
time. The exam clock stops between 10 minutes to 60 minutes for this
break. If you are away for more than the stated minutes for your break,
time will automatically be deducted from the remaining exam time.
· You
may take unscheduled breaks at any time. To request an unscheduled
break, raise your hand to get the proctor or administrator’s attention.
The proctor or administrator will allow you to take the break but your
exam time will continue to run.
· In some of our exams, you will be fingerprinted, photographed or not before you enter the exam room. each
time you leave the testing room and again before you re-enter the
testing room, you MUST sign in and out including the time. The
administrator will restart the exam for you when you return.
· While you are taking a scheduled or unscheduled
break, you are permitted to access your personal items that you stored
during the exam only if necessary-for example, if you need to take
medication at a specific time. You are NOT allowed access to other
items, including cellular phones, exam notes and study guides.
· If
you experience hardware or software problems or distractions that
affect your ability to take the exam, notify the proctor or test
administrator immediately by raising your hand. If you have other
questions or concerns, raise your hand and the administrator will assist
you as long as other candidates are not disturbed.
· The administrator cannot answer questions related to exam content.
· After
you finish the exam, you may be asked to complete an optional, onscreen
evaluation. After completing the exam or the evaluation, raise your
hand. The administrator will come to your workstation and ensure your
exam has ended properly.
· You
must return the erasable noteboard, the marker and or sheets of
papers/pencil to the proctor administrator. Do not leave these items at
your testing workstation.
· You
may not remove copies of exam questions and answers from the testing
center, and may not share the questions or answers seen in your exam
with other candidates.
· Exam
data is automatically encrypted and transmitted electronically to the
exam sponsor. The testing center does not retain any information other
than when and where your exam was taken.
· If you have questions about the exam or your results, please contact MRA or your individual specialty board.
For
computer-based testing, you will not be permitted to take personal
belongings to the computer workstation. These must be stored as directed
by our test site personnel. Please note that water bottles are not
allowed in the testing room.
